Orbit Garant Drilling was founded in 2007 through a merger of two leading companies in the diamond drilling sector: Orbit Drilling and Garant & Brothers Drilling.

In 1994, the Company deployed its first proprietary drill.

In 1990, the company embarked on a period of significant expansion, particularly on the international stage. Soon after, Orbit Drilling turned its focus to innovation developing a state-of-the-art research and development program.

Orbit Drilling was founded in 1986 by brothers Pierre and Bernard Alexandre, both with many years of field experience.

Garant & Brothers Drilling was founded in 1965 by Jean and Robert Garant. Following the company’s sale in 1964 to Michel Mathieu and Maurice Groleau, the company grew significantly on the strength of its diamond drilling experience.
