Éric Alexandre
President and Chief Executive Officer

Eric Alexandre co-founded Orbit Garant Drilling in January 2007. Prior to Orbit Garant Drilling, from 2004 to 2007, he was a partner and General Manager of Orbit Drilling. Mr. Alexandre has more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry, with a particular expertise in financial and administrative management. From 1998 to 2003, he was a Commercial Account Director for the National Bank of Canada. As a student, he spent his summers working as a diamond driller. Mr. Alexandre holds a Professional Chartered Accountant (CPA, CMA) designation, an ICD.D Institute of Corporate Directors title, and an undergraduate Honours Business Administration degree from the Université du Québec.” .

Pierre Alexandre
Vice President, Corporate Development

Pierre Alexandre co-founded Orbit Garant Drilling in January 2007, and under his leadership the Company has grown to become one of the most prominent Canadian operators in diamond drilling. He was previously the founder, President and CEO of Orbit Drilling (1986). Mr. Alexandre has more than 36 years of experience in the diamond drilling industry with expertise in operational planning and business relationship development. From 1974 to 1983, he worked as a surface driller for various drilling companies.

Alain Laplante
Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer

Alain Laplante joined Orbit Garant Drilling in August 2007. He has more than 26 years of management and financial planning experience, with specific expertise in financial negotiations and the post-acquisition integration process. Prior to joining Orbit Garant Drilling, he served as the Chief Financial Officer at Air Creebec, a regional airline operating in Québec and Ontario, from 1989 to 2007.

Prior thereto, he was Controller at Plastibec Ltée, which became a publicly traded company during his tenure, from 1985 to 1989; Cost Accountant with American Can Canada Inc. from 1982 to 1985; and Accountant with Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd. from 1981 to 1982. He also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ordre des CGA du Québec from 2004 to 2005.

Mr. Lapointe is a Fellow of Chartered Professional Accountants (FCPA) and holds an undergraduate degree from the Université du Québec.

Sylvain Laroche
Division Manager

Sylvain Laroche joined Orbit Garant Drilling in 2006. Prior to being appointed as Division Manager, he held the positions of Administrative Manager and then of Division Manager. From 1998 to 2006, he was Director of Human Resources and Director of Transportation Operations for Groupe Boisvert, a major company specializing in the transportation of forest products. He has more than 20 years’ experience in administration, human resources management, accounting, operations management, procurement, business development and IT Implementation.

Sylvain earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Université du Québec. His methodical approach and ability to manage personnel are great assets for the Company, enabling him to bring contract negotiations and the Company’s expansion efforts in Canada and around the world to a successful conclusion.

Daniel Maheu
Corporate Controller

Immediately prior to joining Orbit Garant in January 2010, Daniel Maheu held various management positions at transport companies from 1998 to 2010, including Controller and Chief Financial Officer at Transport Boisvert and Transport Bergeron, two TransForce Group companies. He was also General Manager of the Centre du camion Mabo.

Daniel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Administration from HEC Montréal and the Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA, CA).

Jean-Yves Laliberté 12
Director, chairman of the Board of Directors

Jean-Yves Laliberté was elected a director in 2008 and chairs the Audit Committee. He has more than 30 years of finance and accounting experience, particularly in the mining sector.

Mr. Laliberté served as Chief Financial Officer at Cartier Resources Inc., a Québec-based public exploration company, from June 2007 to May 2015, and has been its Chairman of the Board since May 2015. He was Chief Financial Officer at Abitex Resources Inc., a Québec-based public mineral exploration company, from May 2008 to April 2011. Mr. Laliberté is also self-employed. Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer at Scorpio Mining Company from April 2006 to April 2007. Prior to that, he served as Controller at Richmont Mines Inc., from 1989 to 1994, and as Vice-President, Finance, at Richmont Mines Inc. and Louvem Mines Inc. from 1994 to 2006. Prior to 1989, he was with KPMG LLP.

Mr. Laliberté received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Université du Québec in Abitibi Témiscamingue in 1985. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant and member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés (CPA, CA) and holds the Institute of Corporate Directors designation (ICD.D).

William N. Gula 12*
Director

William N. Gula is an Independent Director of Orbit Garant Drilling. He is a Senior Advisor at Morrison Park Advisors (“MPA”), an independent investment bank providing financial and strategic advisory services to clients requiring specialized investment banking expertise. Prior to December 2016, Mr. Gula was also a Partner at Hansell LLP, which provides independent, senior-level expertise in law and governance to companies, their directors and shareholders and to other stakeholders. Prior to June 2015, Mr. Gula was a Managing Director at MPA, and prior to joining MPA in 2011, he was a Senior Partner at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP, one of Canada’s leading law firms. Mr. Gula was Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at Scotia Capital Inc. from 1997 to 2004.

He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1979, and specialized in mergers and acquisitions, securities law and corporate governance. He has a Bachelor of Science and LLB degrees from the University of Toronto and holds the Institute of Corporate Directors designation (ICD.D).

Pierre Rougeau12
Director

Mr. Rougeau has more than 30 years of experience in finance and business administration. From 1981 to 2001 Mr. Rougeau worked in the investment banking field (Geoffrion Leclerc Inc, Scotiacapital and UBS Warburg) providing corporations with services related to capital raising, mergers and acquisition and business valuations. From 2001 to 2007 he acted as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President Corporate development for Abitibi Consolidated Inc. and from 2007 to 2011 he held the position of Executive Vice President, Operations and Sales Pulp and Paper for AbitibiBowater Inc. From 2012 to 2014 Mr. Rougeau was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Richmont Mines Inc. More recently Mr. Rougeau has been offering financial advice to corporations through his own consulting company.

Mr. Rougeau has a Bachelor of science in Business Administration degree (Accounting) from St-Louis University and a Master of science (MSc.) degree in Finance from Sherbrooke University. He also previously served on the board of directors of La Senza Inc. and SFK Pulp.

Nicole Veilleux1*2
Director

Ms. Veilleux is a professional chartered accountant (CPA, CA) with over 30 years of experience in financing for mining company including the last 20 years with Richmont Mines inc. During her career she held experience in a series of progressive financial management and senior executive positions (as Chef of Financial Officer, Vice-President of Finance and Controller). She participated in several public financings, acquisitions and mergers of listed companies, restructuring, purchase of mining properties and various other large transactions.

She has solid expertise in finance, accounting, mining taxation, internal control, financing, acquisition and public information disclosure.

Ms. Veilleux is a member of the board of directors of Mine Abcourt Inc. and is also chair of the audit committee. She was a member of the audit and finance committee of the Quebec Mining Association and also a member of the board of directors of La Société minière Louvem inc, a public company.
