Orbit Garant Announces Strategic Partnership with George Contracting Group to Support Business Development Initiatives in Northwestern Ontario
– Company to open new regional office and customer support facility in Thunder Bay –
Val-d’Or, Quebec, March 27, 2013 – Orbit Garant Drilling Inc. (TSX: OGD) (“Orbit Garant” or the “Company”) announced today that it has entered into a strategic partnership with George Contracting Group, a leading, fully integrated general contracting services company supporting resource companies throughout Northern Ontario. Under the strategic partnership agreement, George Contracting will provide contracting services for Orbit Garant and, through cooperative efforts, both companies will work to develop mutually beneficial and sustainable business relationships that serve to enhance economic development and employment opportunities for the surrounding First Nation communities.
Orbit Garant will open a new regional office in Thunder Bay, Ontario, in April 2013 to support business development and customer relationships. The Company will lease a portion of George Contracting’s 10,000 square foot facility, located at 16 Twin City Crossroads in Thunder Bay, to establish a new sales and administration office and to facilitate drilling equipment storage and maintenance space in support of customer projects in the region. Orbit Garant plans to have surface and underground drills, support equipment and personnel on site for rapid deployment to customer projects and to accommodate ongoing equipment maintenance.
