Val-d\u2019Or, Quebec, December 8, 2014<\/strong> \u2013 Orbit Garant Drilling Inc. (TSX: OGD) (\u201cOrbit Garant\u201d or the \u201cCompany\u201d) today announced the appointment of Paul Carmel to the Company\u2019s Board of Directors, effective immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Carmel is a mining engineer with more than 25 years of experience in industry and capital markets. Over the course of his career, Mr. Carmel has held senior management and board positions at mining companies, investment banks and private equity firms focused on the mining industry. His most recent positions have been President, CEO and Director of Richmont Mines, Managing Director and Head of Mining at Desjardins Capital Markets and President of MinQuest Capital, a mining private equity fund. Mr. Carmel holds a Bachelor of Engineering, Mining degree from McGill University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Carmel replaces Patrick Godin, who is retiring from the Board after six years to concentrate on his operational role bringing the Renard mine of the Stornoway Diamond Corporation into production. \u201cPatrick has been deeply involved in the development of Orbit Garant since our IPO,\u201d said Mr. Stewart. \u201cWe thank him for his guidance and many important contributions to the Company over the years.
